My name is Av'onne Rice, and I am proud to be a Providence Pirate!! I am from the small town of New Castle, Pennsylvania. I have a true passion for working with our young learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
Personally, I have a partner of 2 years and have one fantastic baby boy who is a year and a half. I enjoy reading, anime, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family. I come from a large family that makes it a point to get together yearly for family reunions. We're always looking for a reason to celebrate and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Concordia College Alabama. I am certified to teach Elementary Education. This will be my first year at Providence Elementary after four years at C.J. Donald Elementary.
