Bio
Hello, My name is Alecia Young and I am excited to join the GSES family. I am originally from Talladega, Alabama. I am a proud graduate of Alabama A&M University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I also received my certification in Instructional Leadership from Samford University.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart and fellow educator, Terrance Young for 19 years and we have three wonderful sons, 17 year old twins Terrant and Terrell and 13 year old Tyson. I love writing, acting, singing and sports (football & track and field). I am very active in my church and I love spending quality time with my family. On Thursday and Friday nights, you will find me being a loud and proud football mom.
I take great pride in building relationships with my students and watching them develop and grow as they learn.
