Hello. My name is Lisa Apgar. I was born and raised in Southern California but have lived in Alabama for
three years. I have a husband of 19 years and we have three beautiful daughters and one handsome
little son. I am a lover of holidays, exploring places off the beaten path, beaches, and of course family.
I’m always up for an adventure whether it is going on a road trip to an old movie set or exploring a new
restaurant or hotspot. I enjoy shopping, music of all genres, and dancing. I even moonlight as a dance
fitness instructor at the YMCA.

Before I became a middle school counselor, I was an elementary school counselor as well as a middle
school History and Science teacher. My first educational work experience was as a paraprofessional for
students with moderate to severe autism. I enjoy working with students of all ages and all strengths and
abilities.
