Experience
I have been a Professional High School Counselor in Huntsville City Schools for 16 years; 13 years at Huntsville High School and I am beginning my third year at Columbia and New Century Technology High School. Prior to my career as a school counselor, I was a third grade teacher and a high school special education teacher. I am a past-president of the Alabama Counseling Association and a past-president of the Alabama School Counselor Association. I received the 2011 Alabama High School Counselor of the Year award from the Alabama School Counselor Association, the 2005 New Counselor of the Year Award from the Alabama School Counselor Association, and the 2004 Golden Apple Teacher Award sponsored by the Huntsville Times.
