Bio
I am originally from Mobile, Alabama and moved to Huntsville when I was four. I currently teach English 10 and English 10 Honors and am the MYP Personal Project Coordinator. I am a highly motivated educator who strives to foster student learning and is dedicated to making a difference in students’ lives.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Brian, daughter Brianna, who keeps me quite busy but is a joy, my family and friends. I thoroughly enjoy reading and traveling although I rarely have the time to do either as much as I would like. I truly enjoyed playing sports at Lee High School and in college and must admit to volleyball being my Achilles' heel.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Language Arts from Huntingdon College in 1889. I received my Master's degree in English from Alabama A&M University in 1997. I received my Reading Specialist Certification from Alabama A&M University in 2007, and I received my Secondary English AA Certification (ESL Concentration) from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2013.
