Bio
My name is Katie Green and I am excited to be the GATE teacher at Highlands Elementary. In 2015 I moved with my Alabama Native husband to Huntsville. We have one wonderful son and a very spoiled dog. It is my goal to help students become life-long learners with the confidence to find answers on their own. I strive to motivate and inspire students to rise to the challenge of extending beyond their comfort zone and accomplish things they never thought they could!

I began my teaching career in Georgia where over a span of 8 years I taught; Secondary Gifted ELA, Advanced ELA, English 9-12, sat on the Academy Liberal Arts Steering Committee, and Co-chaired Relay for life team. I began here at Highlands as the GATE Teacher in the school year 2017-2018.
