I wanted to share a little bit about myself. As you may already know, this is my first year to teach at Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary! I taught 1st grade for 9 years and 2nd grade for 1 year at Lakewood Elementary. After those 10 years in the classroom I had the opportunity to step out of the classroom and become an ARI Reading Coach. I was the Reading Coach at Lakewood for 4 years and was then moved to Montview Elementary where I served 4 more years as the Reading Coach. Although I loved working as a Reading Coach and training teachers, I always felt that I had left my true calling of teaching CHILDREN! I am so happy to be returning to the classroom at Goldsmith-Schiffman.

As for hobbies, well, most of my time is spent with family and friends. I am an active member of our church where my father is also the pastor. I spend time with the young children in our lives. In the summer I love to read as well as spend time in the garden with my mother and father.
