Working with children is all I ever wanted to do as far back as I can remember. I also have a love and appreciation for Art - in all forms. I love my job at AAA! I feel so blessed to be a part of an awesome group of educators and staff I call my friends.

After my initial college degree in Fine Arts, I worked as a Graphic Artist for several years, but realized I would rather enjoy Art on my terms as a hobby and not feel pressure for deadlines as a career. So, I went back to school and got my degree in Elementary Education. I have been employed with Huntsville City Schools since 1995. I taught 2nd grade at Ridgecrest for seven years and 4th grade at Jones Valley for 12 years. In the midst of my years at Jones Valley, I decided to go back to school again and get my Masters in School Counseling. I have been serving as AAA's School Counselor since 2015. I have the best of both worlds now; working with wonderful kids and surrounded by the Arts!
