- Current AGT students do not need to reapply annually.
- Prospective students must complete an online application during the magnet application window using the link above.
- Rising 6th - 8th grade students apply during a magnet application window and then come to AGT to complete a written essay.

- Steps to Apply for AGT:

- All students applying must be identified as Gifted & Talented or in the Gifted Screening process. For information regarding Gifted Screening, please contact Mrs. Wendy Graham at 256-428-6872
- Apply online during the Application Window. Ensure that you have applied by saving your application confirmation page.
- The "Next Step" in the process will be completing an online writing sample on a designated date at Williams Middle School. Please bring an HCS laptop and charger if able. Applicants will be notified of dates via email after the application window closes.

Students should be prepared to write an essay response about personal experiences related to gifted education, personal interest in continuing participation in gifted programming, and commitment to academic and creative pursuits.

The Academy for Gifted & Talented (AGT) is open to rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
