Bio
Ms. Emily Church started teaching at Challenger Middle School in 2022. She currently teaches 6th-8th grade band. Ms. Church is a native of Hendersonville, Tennessee and loved playing in band throughout middle and high school. She was a member of the Million Dollar Band in college, where she got to travel to two National Championships, two SEC Championships, and three Bowl Games with her best friends! In her free time, she continues to play French horn and sing in community ensembles. She also enjoys reading, baking, knitting, and spending time with her family (and orange cat, Charlie)!

Ms. Church has worked for several high school programs in the southeast, including Siegel High School (TN), Oak Mountain High School (AL), and Hendersonville High School (TN). She also worked for the Nashville Symphony in the office of Education and Community Engagement in 2018. While at the University of Kentucky, she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant responsible for organizing and guest conducting for the Wildcat Marching Band, Athletic Pep Bands, Symphony Band, and Concert Band.
