Bio
I am excited to be the ARI Reading Specialist at Hereford Elementary. I love all things reading and am interested in the science and art of teaching reading.

I have been married to my husband Andrew for 12 years, and we have two children, Reed (3) and Lynnleigh (1). I enjoy spending time with my family and seeing things through my kids' eyes as they experience the world. I love college football and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. War Eagle! But I also graduated from the University of Alabama, so I am a little divided in my loyalties now.

I love to travel and run, and I combine those two pursuits anytime I can. I love running long distances, especially the half-marathon. I am also a certified Body Pump instructor.

My role as the ARI Reading Specialist is to support and coach K-3 teachers in implementing best practices in the science of reading. It is literally my dream job, and I am so thrilled to be at HES doing what I love!
