Dear McDonnell Families, 

Thank for a great start to the new year! Our #1 priority will always be students' safety and well-being. Thank you for ensuring your child/children are wearing their mask to school each day. Students are also encouraged to bring water bottles that can be refilled at the water refilling stations.

Items of importance:

The arrival/dismissal process is designed to keep your child/children safe according to COVID19 guidelines but also to ensure that they get home safe. Thank you to the parents that have already picked up their car numbers.

Parent Portal login directions for PowerSchools was sent home last week. PowerSchool is the new program that houses all student data, including grades. If you did not get this information, please contact your child's teacher or call the front office.

Huntsville City Schools (HCS) has implemented the Alabama Department of Public Health’s (ADPH) guidance regarding close contacts. ADPH recommends that students and staff members who are close contacts of an individual who tests positive for COVID-19 temporarily isolate away from school campuses and activities. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 or are reported to ADPH as being suspected of having COVID-19 should isolate and will be excluded from schools, campuses, and other buildings.
