Dear Blossomwood families,
Our annual standardized testing continues this week. The boys and girls have been doing a great job so far! We hope to finish up this week, excluding any make-up testing next week.
Please review the dates below, and do your best to ensure that your child is present on the days they are scheduled to test. Please do not schedule a doctor or dentist appointment on those days. Thanks for your help!
Tuesday, April 26 - Grades 4 & 6 Science; Grade 5 ELA

Blossomwood Students Shine in Math Competition
Our students recently did an outstanding job of representing Blossomwood Elementary in the Grissom Math Stars Competition. The following are the results:
Team Recognition
Blossomwood Grade 4 Team finished in 1st place.
Blosomwood Grade 5 Team finished in 3rd place.
Individual Recognition
Claire Davenport finished in 9th place for 4th grade.
Addison Wiley finished in 4th place for 5th grade.
Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Taylor, and Mrs. Williams led this effort for each grade level.
ACAP Pep Rally
Our faculty and PTA recently provided our students with a fantastic pep rally to get ready for the ACAP testing! We had the Alabama A & M University Drumline open the event, a few activities including a relay race and spirit stick competition in the middle, and the Huntsville High School Drumline to close out the event. It was a lot of fun! Special thanks to the PTA for providing students with bead necklaces and glow-sticks! Mrs. Geralyn Smith and Mrs. Ashley Fitzgerald did another excellent job of organizing!
Therapy Partners Visit Blossomwood
Therapy Partners visited our second-grade students recently. They brought some of their therapy dogs for our students to see, pet, and learn about how they help others in our community. Special thanks to our very own Ashley Fitzgerald, Blossomwood parent coordinator, for coordinating this event!
