Bio

Greetings! My name is Hovet Lee Dixon, Jr. I'm originally from Phenix City, AL. I relocated to Huntsville, AL in 1995. Since then, I've married my college sweetheart and fellow Educator. We birthed three kids: our oldest daughter is a Freshman college, our youngest daughter is a Senior in high school, and our only son is in the 6th grade. I've been in Education/Administration collectively since 2000. My passion is providing that ray of hope so many of our students need nowadays. I firmly believe the best educators embrace their positions as callings rather than jobs. I share the same perspective. Additionally, spending time with family and loved ones bring me the greatest joy. Impacting young lives daily is my eternal debt repayment to all those who invested in my very own K-12 experience. I do not take this work lightly. Our goal this school year is to ensure all the great things going on at Highlands Elementary School is echoed across not only the city, county, or state, but specifically the nation.
