Air Force JROTC
The mission of the AFJROTC program is, “To develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and communities.”
The goals of the AFJROTC program are to instill:
• The values of citizenship
• A sense of accomplishment
• Personal responsibility
• Service to the United States**There is NO MILITARY COMMITMENT**

How to Join / Membership Requirements:
All Huntsville High Students are welcome to register and take the AFJROTC class. Students must meet the military grooming requirements when in uniform.
Other Info:
Career Prep and Physical Education requirements met through JRTOC
• One year in JRTOC meets Physical Education requirements for graduation
• Taking 1st and 2nd year JROTC classes meets Career Prep requirements for graduation
There are numerous before and after school teams
Military Service Credit: Completing a minimum of 2 years of JROTC enables enlisted personnel to earn rank before their peers upon completion of basic training. They may earn early advancement to E-2 or E-3, depending upon the military service rules.Link to National Organization:
