Bio

I am new to the Huntsville area and new to teaching, but I am very excited for this next stage of my life. I grew up in Tuscaloosa, AL, and went to college at the University of Alabama. ROLL TIDE! It was there that I met my wonderful husband. Together, we enjoy hiking, trying out as many coffee shops as possible, and serving the local church. I also enjoy painting and reading. I became a music educator to share my love for music with each of my students. I believe music education exists to create global citizens who have the tools to continue making music outside of the classroom. I believe music is a universal language and can unite people of various backgrounds and cultures, allowing students to see the world from different perspectives. I believe my responsibility as a music educator is to educate my students as they engage with music in everyday life.
