Jennifer Kontak

Bio

Dr. Kontak is a native to Huntsville, Alabama currently living in Athens. She lives with her husband and two children. Her daughter Zoe is majoring in political science at UAH, while her son Ryan is a music major specializing in bass trombone and tuba. Her family also includes four dogs (Lucy, Daisy, Laurens, and Alice), a cat (Snickers), and a tortoise (Koopa). When not teaching, Dr. Kontak likes to go on nature walks, read, paint landscapes, and write stories. She has a fondness for all life on the planet as well as the logical processes of computing and problem-solving.
