The mission of the AFJROTC program is, “To develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and communities.”
The goals of the AFJROTC program are to instill:
• The values of citizenship
• A sense of accomplishment
• Personal responsibility
• Service to the United States
**There is NO MILITARY COMMITMENT**
• One year in JRTOC meets Physical Education requirements for graduation
• Taking 1st and 2nd year JROTC classes meets Career Prep requirements for graduation

Military Service Credit: Completing a minimum of 2 years of JROTC enables enlisted personnel to earn rank before their peers upon completion of basic training. They may earn early advancement to E-2 or E-3, depending upon the military service rules.
