Academy Clowns

The Academy Clowns are talented, hard-working performers from the 6th grade at Huntsville City Schools’ fine arts magnet school, the Academy for Academics and Arts. Students audition to become a part of the Academy Clowns, have class four days a week and minimal after school rehearsals. The Academy Clowns give students a chance to do more than sing and dance before an audience. The personal commitment given by a student to be a part of the group, to audition, come to all rehearsals, to care for costumes and learn theatrical make-up techniques, and to perform publicly teaches lifelong skills that transfer to academic success and career opportunities.

How to Join / Membership Requirements: 

Auditions open to all 6th Grade students.

Cost: Minimal costs for items not provided by school or ACT
Requirements: Auditions held for all incoming 6th graders

Sessions: After school rehearsals are scheduled as needed
