Math Team

The Academy for Academics and Arts Math Team is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who love math and have a desire to compete against other teams to show off their math skills. The Math team curriculum, from The Art of Problem Solving series, is used to help prepare students for competition. In ciphering competitions, speed and accuracy are factors, so these skills are practiced weekly. At tournaments, students complete on individual and team levels. Each member of the team is eligible to compete as an individual, regardless of their skill level. Team members strengthen existing skills and learn new math skills, learn to work with other members of the team and enjoy the comradery of traveling and completing with their teammates.

How to Join / Membership Requirements: 

Practices will be held once a week. Math tournaments will be held on Saturdays as well as online competitions that will be at school.
