Stagecraft

This class introduces 6th, 7th, and 8th grade magnet students to the art and craft of stage production. This class includes the teaching of theatrical design (sets, costumes, lights, props, and make-up). Students are allowed to engage in the practical application of various theatre skills that encompasses a wide spectrum (maintenance of auditorium, sound system, and lighting operations). Students in this class are committing time and effort to all performances and programs during and after school hours. To interview for tech class, students will write an essay.
