I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I have lived in Huntsville since 1987. My husband and I have 3 daughters. Sarah Beth Morris (soon to be married) who is a 4th grade teacher at ASFL, Beka Morris who works at Bonefish and attends Athens State, and our youngest Hannah who will be starting her sophomore year at Bama in August. We are big Alabama fans and have matching crimson colored vehicles and we have 5 Boston Terriers (Layla and Neville along with their offspring Luna, Arthur, and Ginny ( yes, they are named after the characters in Harry Potter.) This is my 17th year at Farley.
Bachelor of Science Degree Early Childhood Education, The University of Alabama
My first year of teaching was spent with the Tuscaloosa County School System teaching a combination of 2nd and 3rd grade. I previously for 10 years at a private school here in Huntsville ( 7 years in first grade and 3 years in 3rd grade).
I was fortunate enough while teaching 3rd grade here at Farley to be involved in the TaDah program (Teachers as Developing Historians). I received many resources and was able to attend a week's long trip, all expenses paid, to Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Williamsburg.
