Policies

Students are welcome to come to the library before, during and after school to read, use computers, print, and make copies. Students are welcome to use the library for small group meetings, study groups, or individually as a quiet place to read and study. Because we often have after school appointments, we would ask that you give us notice if you need the library after school. To maintain our learning environment and make this a comfortable setting for all, we ask that you work quietly so others are not disturbed.

Books may be checked out for 3 weeks, with option to renew. Reference materials may be checked out for use overnight.

Grissom High School Media Center Mission Statement

The mission of Grissom High School library media program is to support the school’s instructional program of improving student learning and achievement. This mission is accomplished by:

Ensuring that learners are able to independently inquire and think critically; thus gaining, creating, and sharing knowledge.
Providing real and virtual access to appropriate, high-quality resources and services without time and facility constraints.
Participating in curriculum development and the designing of learning activities.
Facilitating professional development for the learning community.
