Bio
Ryan Bird is a native of Seattle, Washington. In 1993, he enlisted into the US Army straight out of high school to train as an Indonesian (Bahasa) linguist. In 1995, Ryan received a nomination to the United States Military Academy and graduated in 1999 with a US Army officer commission. He switched to the Air Force Reserve in 2004 and continued his military service until he retired from military service in 2021. Lt Col Bird, his wife and four kids are excited to make the Huntsville area their home and serve the community. Lt Col Bird enjoys spending time with his family and running. Go Jags!
