Hello! My name is Katherine Smira and I currently teach ACT prep and AP English Language and Composition here at Lee High School. I began my teaching career just before the global Covid-19 pandemic began in 2019 and came to Lee High School in January 2020. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education and plan to further my studies in the future. I am originally from Jackson, Mississippi but have lived all over, including Wichita, Kansas and Lebanon, New Hampshire!

I enjoy traveling, learning new languages (including French, German, Arabic, and Russian), and reading any kind of book. I hope to share my love of literature and learning with my students here at Lee High School, and I am forever grateful to be a part of the famiLEE!
