Ronald E. McNair Junior High is committed to excellence in athletics while supporting the educational mission of Huntsville City Schools. We meet student-athletes at their individual skill levels and educational needs and provide a challenging environment for skill development in both team and individual sports. The McNair Athletic Department is connected to the whole student: academically, socially, emotionally and physically through intentional preparation and planning throughout the school day and season. We focus on creating opportunities for all student-athletes to develop skills through individual instruction, peer interaction and competition.

How to Join / Membership Requirements:
McNair Jr. High has a girl and a boys’ team open to all 7th and 8th grade students. Tryouts are held during the month of September for the upcoming season. Tryouts will be held in May for the following year. Complete all the Dragonfly Max Requirements required by the AHSAA and Huntsville City Schools at www.dragonflymax.com using the McNair Junior High School code: UB7SJ4 and obtain a Sportsmanship Certificate from nfhslearn.com. Please contact Brandon Jones, the Boys' and Girls' Coach or the Athletic Director for additional information.
