- Apply online during the application window and save your application confirmation page. Applicants for rising grades 9th through 12th grade will wait for their "Next Steps" email.

- Visit our campus on one of the days for the online writing sample.
- You may come to New Century on [TBA]. You do not have to call ahead nor make an appointment. If your student is a current Huntsville City Schools student, they will need to bring a charged laptop with them for the online writing sample. Online writing samples generally take 20 to 40 minutes to complete. We allow no more than an hour. If a student arrives late, they simply have less time with which to work. Make sure to arrive at the specified time.
- Applicants will read four prompts to which they will respond. Each applicant needs to be prepared to answer the four questions listed with our Online Writing Sample Rubric.
- Once the four prompts are answered by the applicant, he or she will submit the online writing sample. After submitting the online writing sample, the applicant is free to leave.
