PES Student Council

The purpose of the PES Student Council at Providence Elementary is to promote leadership. PES Student Council will allow students to work together as responsible leaders in the school community. PES Student Council gives students an opportunity to learn about the democratic process and leadership. PES Student Council allows students to be the voice for their peers and find the concerns of the student body.

How to Join / Membership Requirements: 

1. Students will receive a packet with information regarding interest.
2. Students will be prompted to write an essay stating which position they would like to run for and why.
3. Students will submit their essay and interest in to Mrs. Lindbom.
4. Students selected will campaign to the student body.
5. Providence Elementary will then hold a voting poll for Grade 3-5 students. Each student will fill out a voting ballot (private or online).

Requirements/Criteria:
Students in grades 3rd through 5th
Principled behavior throughout the academic school year
Excellent grades throughout the academic school year
