Sponsors:
Señora Campbell
How to Join / Membership Requirements:
Membership is open to between 15 and 20 students from one grade each year (usually 4th grade because of scheduling challenges). Toward the end of the first 9 weeks of school, all students in the eligible grade are invited to apply for membership by writing a short paragraph about why they want to study Spanish more. Membership is contingent upon good behavior and keeping up with regular class work, and is by approval of Señora Campbell, the club sponsor, and homeroom teachers.
Other Info:
Sample activities for the once-a-week, 30-minute club meetings are: Games in Spanish, geographic puzzles, culture-related crafts, reading to younger grades for Read-Across-America Week, and corresponding with children learning English in Mexico City.
