Student Council Helps Around the School
Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by School Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Walker. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.
At Ridgecrest, our Student Council members help with our morning procedures. They also assist with the distribution of the PERKS bags. This program provides snacks and ready-to-eat foods for elementary school children that lack adequate food supplies on the weekend. With the leadership of our Student Council, RES students held a food drive for the victime of the Texas winter storm this past February.
For more information about how your child can be a part of the Ridgecrest Student Council, contact our School Guidance Counselor.
