It is with great pride and excitement that I write to you today as your new principal of Challenger Middle School. I am truly honored to become part of the Challenger community that I have known for the past 14 years.
In 2007, my growing family and I moved to Huntsville where my wife, Dr. Evelyn Frazier-Coln, was launching her solo family dental practice. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly to the Challenger family.
I am a firm believer that we are all members of one team, Team Challenger, and that we must work together and support each other in order to achieve the common goal we all share: to prepare our students for success. I vow to lead us in building positive relationships, modeling good citizenship, maintaining effective communication, and committing to the principles of servant leadership in all we do. I look forward to working with each of you as we begin a new school year and a fresh chapter at Challenger Middle.

Experience
I finished my undergraduate studies at Birmingham-Southern College in History and my Master’s degree at the University of Alabama in Educational Leadership. My 1st teaching/coaching position was at Kossuth HS, Mississippi and then I moved to Trussville, Alabama, where I spent 8 years teaching/coaching. In 2007 I began my tenure at Grissom, where I taught World History and was the Varsity Boys Basketball coach for 7 years. In 2012 I served as an Assistant Principal at Mountain Gap P-8 and basketball coach at Grissom. This is my 23rd year in education, and 14th year in HCS.
