Bio
I am originally from Lima, Ohio, and my family and I moved to Dothan, Alabama when I was in the seventh grade. I graduated from Dothan High School in 1994 and attended Troy University from 1994-1998. I married my best friend in 1997 while I was still attending Troy University. My husband and I have one fur baby named Morgan. Morgan is a terrier mix that we rescued from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband James and my family and friends. I also enjoy watching football (Roll Tide!) and UFC, traveling with my husband, and reading.

Experience
I started teaching in Henry County Schools as soon as I graduated in 1998. I taught there the majority of my career. Later I worked full time for ACCESS through Troy University until I accepted a position here in Huntsville in 2015. Living in Huntsville and teaching for Huntsville City Schools has been an amazing adventure which has brought me and my family great joy. I currently teach Spanish II and IB Spanish B SL. I am enthusiastic about education and building positive and productive relationships with my students and colleagues. I can't imagine living and teaching anywhere else!
