Bio
I come from a family of teachers. My mother taught at Johnson High School (Ms. O'Dell), and my father taught at various universities. I swore I wasn't going to follow suit! So, I majored in Psychology. After completing my Master's in Psychology, I worked as a Counselor at a technical school. When I heard of an alternative certification program for teaching Special Education, I jumped at the chance to become a teacher. I taught in Spring, Texas for several years, then came home to Huntsville. I've been so fortunate to be teaching here at Chapman since!
